Leon started his Ju-Jitsu career in 1968 in
"Sportschool Walter Smits" and obtained 1st DAN in Nov. 973
Founded the IPPON Zwijndrecht Ju-Jitsu Club in 1971 together with
Etienne Van De Merlen and may other
Clubs followed
Together they won several titles in 1983 during the first
championships and were nominated best club.
In 1991 de club scored 14 medals out of 21 during the Belgian
Championships.
In Sep. 1999 Leon was appointed Trainer/Coach of the Belgian Federal
Team DUO-GAMES and scored
28 international medals up till now.
Together with Etienne Van De Merlen he trains the youth Wednesdays
and Saturdays and the Seniors Friday Evenings at 20.30. The
remaining time he devotes equally to his family, the Belgian
National Team and Initiation Lessons.More
